Girls’ Soccer Camp – Inspiring Moments and the Growth of Women’s Sport

On December 6, Soccer Dieppe had the pleasure of welcoming 53 girls ages 5 to 18 for a special day dedicated entirely to girls’ soccer. The camp was a true celebration of sport, teamwork, and passion, offering young participants a memorable and uplifting experience.

A camp open to everyone, no matter the skill level

Whether they were brand new to soccer or already experienced, every participant enjoyed an inclusive and supportive environment. Each girl had the chance to learn, play, and challenge herself at her own pace. The goal was simple: create a space where every player feels valued, encouraged, and free to explore her abilities.

Fun and enriching activities

The camp offered a wide range of activities designed to build skills while keeping the experience fun and engaging:

• Technical drills to improve ball control, coordination, and confidence
• Small-sided games to put new skills into practice
• Interactive team-building games to strengthen group cohesion
• Discussion moments to share experiences and learn from one another
• Snack breaks and downtime to recharge and connect socially
• Gift giveaways and prize draws to end the day with excitement

Each activity was planned to help players feel involved and motivated, with a strong focus on enjoyment, self-confidence, and belonging to a supportive sports community.

Meeting inspiring role models

One of the highlights of the camp was the collaboration with the Aigles Bleues. These university athletes shared their passion, experiences, and advice with the participants, becoming real sources of inspiration. Girls had the chance to ask questions, connect with them, and learn about the many opportunities soccer can bring—both on and off the field.

These exchanges helped participants see what’s possible in women’s sport and understand how soccer can build leadership, resilience, and teamwork skills.
